Fast Start Cedar Plank Salmon Recipe:
Combine butter, brown sugar, and lemon in a sauce pan and cook until butter has melted.  Place salmon onto plank.  Use a basting brush, brush sauce onto salmon.. Add salt & pepper.  Place on grill for 10—12 minutes or until done.

1.    Rinse:

Prepare the Cedar Mountain Grilling Plank by rinsing  the plank with warm to hot water.  Do not use  dishwashing detergent.

2.    Soak:

Allow the Cedar Mountain Grilling Plank to soak in sink or large pan at least  20 minutes to 4 hours prior to grilling (use hot water to reduce soaking time).  We recommend soaking the plank for as long as possible to add moisture and resist burning while grilling.

3.    Oil:

This is an optional step that will increase flavor.  Rub 1-2 tbs of olive oil on the plank before placing food.

for Fish, Meat, and Poultry

For best results with the Cedar Mountain Grilling Plank we         recommend the following five step process in getting started.

For use with outdoor gas and charcoal grills

4.    Outdoor Grilling:

The Cedar Mountain Grilling Plank is safe for outdoor gas and charcoal  grills.  The grill should be prepared according to manufactures instructions.  Prepare your fish, meat, or poultry and place on pre-soaked plank.  The grill will be ready when a temperature of 425°F is reached.  Place plank in center of grill and close lid.  Cooking times will vary.  It is normal to see light smoke while grilling.  Keep a spray bottle of water handy to put out excessive flames

5.    Serve:

The Cedar Mountain Grilling Plank will be extremely hot and charred after use.  Use cooking utensils to remove from the grill and place the entrée on a serving dish.  Enjoy!
